D1 Little Rock's Daniel Wood, is a defensive end/linebacker who is looking toward a bright future in football. Wood currently plays at Mena High School and has been catching the eye of recruiters. According to Rivals.com, he "could see his offer list become a long one if he shows the recruiters he can put on the weight and increase his speed." Wood said right now he's looking hard at Arkansas, UCA, Harding and Penn. Good luck Daniel!

D1 Knoxville Athlete Andrew Barkley, a junior LHP at Halls High School, was named the District 3-AAA Pitcher of the Year, logging an 8-0 record with a 1.78 ERA. Barkley struck out 70 batters and walked just 12 en route to helping the Red Devils reach the Class AAA state sectionals. Andrew was also just selected to Knoxville’s PrepXtra First Team. Andrew is training with D1 Knoxville Head Strength & Speed Coach Cory McAdams and is already hard at work this summer to perform even better next season.
Phil and Amy Parham were contestants on Season 6 of the Biggest Loser. The pair had a successful weight loss totaling 256 pounds combined. Together, they wrote their first book titled, “The 90 Day Fitness Challenge” which expresses their insight on how to achieve goals that seem impossible. Phil and Amy are currently traveling to different cities promoting their book, and recently had a book signing at the Barnes and Noble in their hometown, Greenville, South Carolina. Some of the D1 Sports Training staff and members attended the book signing in support of all their accomplishments. Phil and Amy also acknowledged D1 Greenville in their book by saying “To all of our trainers at D1 Sports Training who gave freely and never asked for anything in return. You kick our behinds every day, and we love you for it.” We are so happy for all that Phil and Amy have accomplished thus far, also for staying true to their new healthy lifestyle and never resorting back to old habits.
Catholic High School offensive lineman and D1 Knoxville Athlete Kyler Kerbyson continues to rack up scholarship offers. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Offensive Lineman now has scholarship offers from Florida State, Tennessee, Alabama, Southern California, Illinois, UCLA, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Duke, Arkansas and Virginia. Ohio State, Georgia and Notre Dame have also shown recent interest in the talented lineman. According to Rivals.com, Kerbyson is ranked the fourth best player in the state of Tennessee. With hard work though and unmatched training at D1 with Coach Cory McAdams, Kerybyson is set to prove that he should be ranked #1.

D1 Little Rock is proud to have been involved in this year's US SWAT/Sniper Championships in Tulsa, OK. The Sniper team finished 7th overall and the SWAT team finished 17th overall. They competed against teams from all around the world. This is the first year for the LRPD to compete in this event and they plan to attend the Championships again next year. Congrats!
