D1 Cincinnati co-owner, Heather Mitts, has officially been named to her third Olympic team as a defender for the U.S. women's soccer team. She has indicated that she will be calling it quits after the the Olympics.
Here is an indication that she represents the D1 brand well, "The soon to be 34-year-old said she is more fit than ever and she has proof: Earlier this month she broke the U.S. women’s soccer team’s fitness record in the beep test (also known as the yo-yo test and dreaded by thousands of players across the country). She got to level 62 in that, breaking Kelly O’Hara’s record, which was previously held by U.S. legend Kristine Lilly."
