Watch D1's David, Tara, Amy and Phil on THE BIGGEST LOSER: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? special edition tonight on NBC! David competed in Season Four of the Biggest Loser and then trained at D1 Nashville in preparation for the show finale. Phil and Amy were on Season Six, which was the family edition, and trained at D1 Greenville to prepare for the finale. Tara was on Season Seven and also trained at D1 Greenville for the finale. We'll be watching tonight!

D1 Knoxville Hosts Tournament of Wishes

D1 Knoxville was proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Tournament of Wishes for the 2nd year in a row. Proceeds from the Tournament of Wishes, which was held on Saturday, November 14, went to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee. 10% of the proceeds also went to benefit the West Hills Tennis Center Rescue of Knoxville. Make-A-Wish’s mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

D1's Stallings Earns Trip to Final Q-School Stage

D1 Knoxville athlete Scott Stallings advanced to the final stage of Q-school by finishing fifth at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Fla. this past weekend. Stallings also assured himself some degree of status on the Nationwide Tour for 2010. The final stage -- a six-round tournament in which the top 25 and ties earn PGA Tour cards -- will be played Dec. 2-7 at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. Great job Scott and good luck!

D1 Knoxville Athlete Wins Big

D1 Scholastic athlete Max Travis and his CBFO 10 year old football team finished their season as the Knox Metro Youth Football Champions of their Minor Pee Wee division! They played an undefeated Rule football team and came away with an 13-7 hard fought victory. Congratulations to Max and his teammates on a Championship Season!

McKinley Hendrix Earns Huntsville Athlete of the Week

McKinley Hendrix is the Athlete of the Week powered by Huntsville Hospital, TOC and D1. As a three-year starter on the Hartselle baseball team, he’s helped lead the team to the playoffs each year and a state championship in 2009. He’s also had a starting job as wide receiver in football for the past four years. McKinley carries a very impressive 4.04 GPA and has scored an amazing 33 on the ACT. When McKinley gets a break he likes to spend it volunteering as a little league coach, a math tutor or a big brother to an underprivileged child. Congratulations McKinley!

D1 Cincinnati Opening Jan. 4

With a D1 facility already open in Columbus, a second location in Ohio has become a reality with a the opening of D1 Cincinnati on Jan. 4. The facility is located on the Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine's campus north of the city in Sharonville. D1 is holding a free D1 Experience event on Dec. 12 focused on lacrosse. On Dec. 29 and Dec. 30, D1 will be holding a free D1 Experience for boys soccer and girls soccer, respectively. Click here for more info.

D1 Chattanooga Character Athlete of the Month

Chad Marsh is D1 Chattanooga's October Character Athlete of the Month. Chad is 9 years old and goes to St. Nicholas School. His favorite sport is football and he trains in D1's Rookie Group (Ages 7-11) with Coach Rob. Chad has kept his commitment to D1. He holds himself ACCOUNTABLE to arriving on time and working extremely hard in every class. His dedication to pushing himself and others keeps everyone else in his class ACCOUNTABLE as well.

D1's Caleb Campbell Pushes a Different Kind of Sled

Caleb Campbell received curious glances and furrowed eyebrows — just like other athletes before him. He is the latest in the lineage of football players turned bobsledders. The Detroit Lions selected Campbell, a safety from Army, in the seventh round of last year’s college draft. As the NFL season drew near, the Lions received a letter from the Army stating that its professional athlete policy had been revised. It wanted Campbell to serve a two-year commitment. D1's Peyton Manning Comes From Behind for Win

Just like D1's Philip Rivers last week, D1 co-owner Peyton Manning threw a dramatic touchdown to win the game with less than a minute remaining. Manning and the Colts came from behind to stay unbeaten and beat the New England Patriots. Congrats Peyton!

D1 Greenville Character Athlete of the Month

Austin Lambert is D1 Greenville's October Character Athlete of the Month. Dylan is a 13 year-old baseball player at Northwood Middle School and also plays multiple positions on the state champion Carolina Cannons. He trains in D1's Developmental Group (Ages 12-14). Austin is a true student-athlete who holds himself ACCOUNTABLE for his training and his school work. You can bet on Austin coming in at 3:30 with his backpack loaded down and challenging questions for parents and D1 staff. We can always count on him completing his homework and putting forth his best effort during his 5 PM workout. Congratulations Austin!

D1 Little Rock Character Athlete of the Month

Faith Elder is D1 Little Rock's October Character Athlete of the Month. Faith is in D1's Rookie Group (Ages 7-11) and trains with Coach Cedric. Faith displays great leadership and holds herself and everyone around her ACCOUNTABLE. Coach Cedric feels she is the "Tim Tebow" of D1 Little Rock's Rookie program. Faith holds herself ACCOUNTABLE by showing up 4 times per week. She loves coming to the facility and gets better on every visit. Congratulations Faith!

Congrats to D1's Michael Oher in "The Blind Side"

Congratulations to D1's Michael Oher who is featured in the upcoming film The Blind Side. Oher trained at D1 Memphis during high school and D1 Nashville during his junior and senior years at Ole Miss in preparation for the NFL. Check out The Blind Side in theaters on November 20.

D1 Huntsville Character Athlete of the Month

Tim Jordan is D1 Huntsville's October Character Athlete of the Month. Tim is 11 years old and plays golf, baseball and is an A/B student at New Hope School. He trains in D1's Rookie Group (Ages 7-11) with Coach Dallas. Tim has a positive attitude everyday and is quick to help the D1 coaches prepare for each class. He serves as a leader in his Rookie class, making sure everyone else understands the technique of each drill. Tim's ACCOUNTABILITY does not stop on the turf, as it spills over into the classroom and in his community.

AFC Moms to Air Tomorrow on "The Dr. Oz Show"

The second part of "The Dr. Oz Show" that was shot from D1 will air tomorrow, November 11. After the NFC Moms competition aired Oct. 28, the AFC Moms competition in the "Dr. Oz's Ultimate Health Challenge" will air tomorrow. The teams were coached by former Tennessee Titans running back and Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George and his wife Taj, of "Survivor" fame. Click here to check your local listings.

Phil and Amy Parham, who train at D1 Greenville and are former contestants on The Biggest Loser, will be releasing their first book in June called The 90-Day Fitness Challenge. There will be a corresponding DVD that was just shot in Oregon. Congrats Phil and Amy!

D1's Philip Rivers Comes Up Big

D1 co-owner Philip Rivers showed why he is one of the best in the NFL. Rivers connected with Vincent Jackson on an 18-yard, game-winning touchdown with less than a minute left versus the Giants on Sunday. Click here to watch his post-game press conference. Last week, D1's Jabari Greer picked off Matt Ryan and returned an interception 48 yards for a big touchdown for the New Orleans Saints. Great job guys on making a big impact.

Chelsi Bryant Earns Huntsville Athlete of the Week

Chelsi Bryant is the Athlete of the Week powered by Huntsville Hospital, TOC and D1. Chelsi is a senior at Hazel Green High School where she plays basketball and volleyball. She made the varsity basketball team as a freshman and made captain her junior year. On the volleyball court, she was awarded the “Most Blocks” award, while leading her team to a county tournament championship. In the classroom, Chelsi’s name is a familiar one on her school’s honor roll list. She’s also been named to the Who’s Who among American teens. Chelsi’s love of learning and sport allow her to pass on her knowledge by teaching underprivileged kids volleyball and basketball. Congratulations Chelsi!
