Top High School Athletes Announce at D1


Three top athletes, Corey Batey, Brian Kimbrow, and Caleb Azubike, will be verbally committing to the college of their choice at 1 pm on Friday at D1 Nashville. Corey Batey is a wide receiver and a defensive back at Nashville's Ensworth High School and Caleb Azubike is a defensive end at McGavock High School. Brian Kimbrow is a running back from Memphis East High School. The three athletes competed in the 2010 De’Vinner Elite Football Showcase Combine at D1 Nashville with the best overall ratings! We look forward to hearing their decisions after all of their hard work!

Eric Berry to Host Clinic and Camp


Eric Berry is coming back to Knoxville this weekend to host an Elite Defensive Skills Clinic for high school athletes and an Iron Sharpens Iron Camp for youth athletes. Each participant will receive an Adidas camp t-shirt, shorts, string bag, an autographed camp poster and lunch! Part of the proceeds will go toward the Eric Berry Foundation, to help build safe and top-of-the-line turf fields in low-income areas for kids to play! D1 Athlete Stands Out at Vanderbilt Camp


D1 Chattanooga Athlete, Frankie Campo, was a standout at the Vanderbilt Full Contact Camp. Frankie was chosen as the MVP for his outstanding defensive play and has been invited to play in the Youth All-American Football Bowl in Myrtle Beach, SC over New Years 2011-2012.

D1 Chattanooga Athlete Prepares for NBA

Chris Hines, forward for the University of Alabama's basketball team, has begun 1-on-1 training at D1 Chattanooga in preparation for a run at the NBA. Chris Hines was recently named the Most Improved Player as he helped Alabama with a strong run at the end of the regular season. CLICK HERE for more.

D1 Corporate Wellness Biggest Loser Challenge brings in BIG results!


The D1 Corporate Wellness facility at Averitt Express, run by Marathon Health, has just completed a 12 week Biggest Loser competition. To be able to be apart of this program the competitors had to meet a certain BMI (Body Mass Index) which was a BMI of 30 or above. We were looking for the people that needed it the most. During the program the Averitt clinic took care of all the nutrition and biometrics and the Wellness center took care of physical side the game. At the end of the 12 week program we lost 506 lbs and a total of 344.5 inches out of 31 competitors. We based the winner off the percent weight loss. The winner, Tim Barnes, lost a total of 53 lbs and total of 20.6 percent weight loss. The group worked very hard and they all plan to continue to live a healthier life. From everyone at D1, congratulations all that finished!

D1 Chattanooga Athlete ready for another National Title run


"Big" Mike Bradley trained with D1 Chattanooga after his senior basketball season and wasn't on many Div.1 college radars. After about 3 months with D1 Chattanooga, Mike attended a camp where UConn's head coach spotted him and offered him positon on the team on the spot. Mike redshirted during this past season's National Title run, but practiced and traveled with the team. Mike is currently playing as a forward/center and hopes to help lead UConn to victory once again. CLICK HERE to read more.

D1 Co-Owner Heather Mitts works out with Cincinnati Soccer Team

Soccer star and St. Ursula Academy Alumna Heather Mitts returned to Cincinnati to workout with current Bulldog players at D1 Sports Training and Therapy in Sharonville, June 10. Mitts, who is a co-owner of D1, will be playing in the FIFA World Cup in Germany, June 23 through July.

D1's Anthony Lucas dances the night away


D1 Little Rock Facility Coordinator, Anthony Lucas, joined other local celebrities June 2nd to dance the night away and help raise money for Ronald McDonald House charities. Ronald's Night of Dancing Stars was a dance competition held in Little Rock that starred local personalities that were partnered with professional ballroom dance instructors.The event was a huge success raising more than $20,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas. Chad Voytik, a starting Quarterback at Cleveland High school in Chattanooga, impresses all despite poor conditions at the regional QB camp at the University of Georgia this past April. Voytik has been training 1 on 1 with D1 trainer Nate Bandy at D1 Chattanooga for the past year and currently has eight scholarship offers. College Recruiting Tip: Should You Attend College Camps to get recruited?

D1 Training helping youth in Brentwood succeed in both sports and life.


In today's competitive sports environment children as young as 7 can benefit from sport specific training programs. According to Kellen Moore, a recruiter with D1 Nashville in Cool Springs, D1's training program "works on overall speed, agility, strength and conditioning, but it also works on things like confidence and perseverance to get kids where they need to be both in sports and life." D1 Athlete, Scott Holtzman, one win away from MMA Championship!


Scott Holtzman, of D1 Shield Systems in Knoxville, is one win away from taking the MMA Championship title. On April 29th, Scott faced off against Itai Tirado from Nemesis MMA/Murfeesboro. In Round 2 of the gut wrenching fight Holtzman proved he deserved to go to the finals with an arm triangle submission. D1 Cincinnati Rookie, Kellen Newman, Breaking Records


D1 Cincinnati Rookie, Kellen Newman (9 years old), participated in the Northern AAU Indoor National Championships in Bloomington, Illinois on February 11th, 12th, and 13th with Lincoln Heights Track Club. Kellen was the boys NATIONAL CHAMPION in the 200 Meter Dash (31.42 seconds), Sub Bantam Boys Triathlon (High Jump, 400 meter run, Shot Put), and Boy's High Jump where he broke the boy's indoor national record with a jump of 3 ft-11in. Kellen also finished 3rd in the Sub Bantam boy's 55 Meter Run (8.50 secs). On behalf of everyone at D1, congratulations Kellen!
