In His Own Words with Lance Schulters
"My favorite team growing up was the Giants. I’m from New York. It’s tough to say who is the best player in the NFL. The best safety is Troy Polamalu. The toughest guy to go up against is T.O. or Randy Moss. T.O. is the toughest but Moss is a close second. I train at D1 because it is a great indoor facility and we work hard. I give Darren a hard time but we get it done. Right now I am just staying in shape and keeping my options open."

Gyms Like D1 Make Fitness Fun for Kids
At D1 Sports Training in Franklin, Brandon Goebbert instructs the casual child participant and the serious athlete. "I get the kids who are so gung ho about it they want to learn everything," said Goebbert, who leads a fitness group for 7- to 11-year-olds. "And I get parents who say their kids won't do anything but sit on the couch and play video games, and they need someone other than a parent to tell them they need exercise." There are three levels of kids classes at D1. Each gets more sports-centric, but with the younger kids the focus is more on fitness fundamentals and less on athletic achievement. D1 Knoxville Athlete Recovering from Car Wreck
On August 10th, Zach Dowdy, senior quarterback at Halls High School, flipped his SUV on his way to football practice resulting in emergency surgery to remove his spleen. His return to football seemed unlikely, according to Coach Kevin Julian. However, after training at D1 Knoxville with Coach Dunstan Kendrick, he recently practiced in shoulder pads and helmet but was held from contact. The Red Devils are 0-3 with the next four games on the road. A comeback by Dowdy during that stretch would be a welcomed one. "He's bound and determined to do it (return)," said Julian. "It could be the lift we need." Click here to read the full story.

Paul Kuharsky Takes On The NFL Elite from Taylor Smith on Vimeo.
In his own words with Doug Datish
"My favorite NFL team when I was a kid were the Steelers because they were always really good. I grew up forty minutes from them. I think the best player in the NFL is Peyton Manning. He never puts himself in a bad situation and he always makes the right decisions. My least favorite play to go up against is Albert Hansworth. He's the best defensive lineman in the NFL. My favorite thing about Nashville is that my wife lives here and the music scene is great. I train at D1 because it is a great place with a professional atmosphere. They know how to train great athletes. My buddy owns the one in Columbus, Ohio."
