He missed the PGA Tour by just one stroke, and while that might be a disappointment, D1 Knoxville athlete Scott Stallings isn't complaining. Stallings played well enough to earn full exempt status on the Nationwide Tour for 2010. Stallings said "I can't wait for next year," in a text message to WATE Sports on Monday night. The former Tennessee Tech All-America golfer survived 6 rounds of the PGA Q School-- The PGA Tour's National Qualifying Tournament played in West Palm Beach, Florida. The top 25 players earned PGA Tour Cards. Stallings finished with a 6-round total of 424. He missed PGA Tour exempt status by 1 stroke-- three golfers tied at 423. Great job, Scott!
