D1 Athletes Ranked 5th in NFL

Some Tennessee Titans defenders who trained at D1 in the off-season are getting recognition for their stellar defensive performance. Nick Harper, Chris Hope, Vincent Fuller, Tony Brown, Jason Jones and David Thornton have been a big part in the Titans' 5-0 start this season. The Titans are one of only two teams in the NFL who are still undefeated. The defense is currently ranked 5th in the NFL and prior to Sunday's game against the Ravens, they had only allowed their opponents 46 points. After the Titans scored with 1:56 left in the fourth quarter to put them ahead 13-10 on Sunday against the Ravens, Nick Harper made the game ending interception when he picked off Ravens' quarterback Joe Flacco. Defensive linemen, Jones and Brown, have been putting pressure on quarterbacks, while Hope, Fuller, Harper and Thornton have been adding just as much pressure in the secondary.
