Tampa Rays' pitcher, David Price, who has trained and conducted camps at D1, recorded a pressure packed save over the Boston Red Sox to send the Rays to the World Series. Price, a Vanderbilt graduate, got the call from the bullpen and stepped onto the mound in the 8th inning with two outs and the bases loaded, facing Boston's hot-hitter, J.D. Drew. It only took Price four pitches to strike him out and save the inning. In the 9th, Price walked his first batter, then struck out the next two before sealing the game against Jed Lowrie who grounded out. Price was then swarmed by the entire Rays' team on the mound! Way to go David Price and congrats on winning the AL Pennant!
