An opportunity to give bobsledding a try after the U.S. Army put his NFL career on pause in 2008 elicited a laugh from Caleb Campbell. "The only thing I could think about was (the movie) Cool Runnings," Campbell said, recalling a voice mail he received from USA bobsled assistant coach Bill Tavares last July. Today, it's no joke. Campbell, who was drafted by the Detroit Lions last year, is attempting to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Games. He is a long shot, short on experience and competing against veteran pushers, who are responsible for getting the sled moving quickly at the start of a race.
