D1's Brian Carman Out-Trains Tennis Competition

D1 Knoxville’s Brian Carman trained this summer with D1's Dunstan Kendrick to improve his performance on the tennis court. His hard work paid off as Brian and his teammate, Harrison Kennedy, came in 1st place in the USTA Southern Doubles Championships in Rome, GA. Brian is a sophomore at Webb School of Knoxville and with his teammate, he was able to beat out 32 other teams comprised the best tennis players in the Southern sectional. We look forward to following Brian’s future success as he continues to train hard and take his game to the next level at D1 with Coach D!

Just wanted to thank Coach D and everyone at D1 for their help with Brian. In the last year, he has really reduced his injuries, improved his movement, and improved his overall fitness and flexibility. His tennis has also shown dramatic improvement and some of that is directly connected to his fitness level. I am confident that he will continue to go in this direction and we will see many more results like this in both singles and doubles in the very near future!
