Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten was on hand at D1 Sports Training in Cool Springs Monday night to help launch the D1 Sports Foundation.A native of Elizabethton, Tenn., Witten played football at the University of Tennessee from 2000-02, where he was a teammate of D1 President and CEO Will Bartholomew. Witten has been selected to five consecutive Pro Bowls and has led the Cowboys in receptions each of the last two seasons.He is also very active in the community, and was selected as the Cowboys’ recipient of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2007.
